Handcrafted on 120 acres of organic farmland by pluckers who want to pluck tea. Located in the lush tea region of Ella, Sri Lanka.
Small quantities of tea are grown with a focus on being handmade, high quality and naturally grown.
Forging a new path in the industry, the farm began to help local farmers who were & still are doing great things with tea & spices.
'I grew up on a tea plantation. But I always dreamed of becoming an inventor. At Amba Estate we needed a machine to cut our lemongrass better. So I made one, using only things I could find in the area. My chopper cuts the lemongrass perfectly every time. I am honoured to share this with you.'

As an organic plantation, looking after the planet & the local people there are many heartwarming projects on the go, one of which is the rescue cows - they only have one job to do , keep the plantation nourished!
The spices in our Sumudu Chai & Fire Chai grow on the same organic plantation as our tea - there are no added sweeteners only natural goodness.
Camellia Sinensis- the botanical name for tea plants is where all of our leaves for black & green teas come from, we also harvest the fine tips - this is where white tea comes from. White tea is the 'champagne' of tea, the most labour intensive and rarer part of the plant. At Amba Estate these lovely white tea stars and black tea gems are created!
