Picker’s Pocket is about doing things the right way. For us, that means knowing exactly where all our tea is grown, and who grows it. It means giving our expert pluckers the respect (and pay) they deserve.

Created by artisans who know like a fine wine, that tea is complex. We batch test & regularly taste for aromatic flavour profiles - it's a terrible job but someone has to do it!

When we saw the tea industry in Sri Lanka with our own eyes we knew there had to be a better way. The wages are at an extreme low, living & work conditions unbelievably bad, those issues are combined with the heavy use of fertilzers & mono cropping - it made it hard to enjoy a cuppa.

As much as we appreciate Sir Thomas Lipton, the historic ways of the tea industry needed to change for good.

We began listening & learning. Those that are closest to tea all day every day, and have been for their entire lives, are the ones guiding us to change the tea industry for good.

Inequality & the environment are two of the greatest challenges facing the future of the tea industry. We are actively taking responsibility in making the right decisions. From education to plantings & rescue cows to empowering local communities.
