Comparable in taste to a traditional breakfast tea, however if you love black tea then choose Thieve's Tea over the Picker's Breakfast as you will find a slightly smoother finish on the palette, not bitterness & a more complex flavour profile in this brew. Thieves' Tea is valued for its invigorating properties, offering a boost in alertness and energy. Less caffeine than the smaller leaf teas (dust) found in mass produced tea bags.
A Plucking Good Story
'For as long as I can remember, my grandparents would come home from a day of picking, empty their pockets and make tea. We've always called it Vangedi Pekoe or Thieves' Tea. We did it our own way, pounding it in our own vangedi, or moral, in a way that brought out the best in the tea. Serving
Great to drink as a black tea! Brew with boiling water (100'c) for 3 -5 mins & serve with or without milk. The flavours are also delicious as a chilled cold brew - infuse the leaves in a jug of water overnight in the fridge.
