Wild Forest Tea

Ingredients - wild black Ceylon tea

We’re going to let you in on a little secret… our Wild Forest Tea is a brew that represents pure wilderness.

Our loose leaf Wild Forest Tea is hand-crafted from leaves plucked high above the surrounding landscape.

Tucked away in the Adams Peak Mountain range is a tea estate which was abandoned 130 years ago and reclaimed by the jungle.

Our wild tea is skilfully handpicked from the tea trees in the forest using bamboo ladders. Unique earthy character is given by the nutrients absorbed from the tap root in deep layers of rich soil in the unspoilt forest environment.

Sourced from the pioneers of Ceylon Wild Tea in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka, our wildest tea makes for an incredible gift that tells an even more incredible story.

Yes! Tea is known to be packed with antioxidants to boost your immune system, fight off inflammation, and even ward off cancer and heart disease. Regularly drinking tea can have a lasting impact on your wellness.

Flavours vary from region to region, as does the caffeine content. The climate, soil, and rainfall all effect the caffeine levels in tea as it is a natural product harvested from the camellia sinensis plant. The level of caffeine in our loose leaf teas vary. Herbal tisanes such as our Pure Peppermint and Blue Lemongrass are caffeine free.

Fully fermented black tea leaves which are the basis of all breakfast teas contain the highest amount of caffeine. Green tea has less caffeine, followed by white tea which contains a minimal amount of caffeine. While you will get a caffeine hit from your pot of tea, it is significantly less than you would from coffee.

Artisinal loose leaf teas are created in smaller batches and hand-picked from single estates. We know exactly where all our tea is grown, and who grows it. We want to be sure that each bag of tea we sell is doing good for the local community where our favourite tea plantations are.

Absolutely! Tea is made to be brewed and shared and it's the perfect gift for the novice or expert tea drinker in your life. If you're unsure of what kind of tea to gift - you could choose a gift card or flick us an email and we'll help you decide!
